JOSHUA GLASSBURN-RUBY

Executive Director since 2024

As the new Executive Director of Noblesville Preservation Alliance, I am humbled and honored to have been granted the opportunity of leading this organization that has been devoted to preserving the rich history and unique heritage of this beautiful community since 1987. Our mission of “enriching the present by honoring the past through the preservation of Noblesville’s historic architecture and authentic charm” is dedicated to safeguarding those very aspects of this city so that it will continue to be a vibrant place to live, work, and visit for countless years to come. By fostering community engagement, advocating for historic preservation, initiating new events and programs, as well as promoting sustainable development that integrates seamlessly with historically accurate architectural design, we at NPA aim to ensure that future generations can enjoy the charm and character of our historic treasures. I look forward to working hand in hand with our valued members, volunteers, community partners, and local leaders to continue the four decades long legacy that NPA has dedicated to preserving Noblesville's past while
simultaneously embracing its future. It is my goal to expand on the umbrella term of preservation and to create new public workshops and programs with an emphasis on teaching people that we are all preservationists at heart, partaking in the act of preserving on a daily basis, often without even realizing it.

One of the key strengths Joshua brings to NPA is his deep passion for local history with a dedication to preservation in every form. In his previous roles, he has successfully managed budgets, overseen payroll administration, and supervised large teams in the healthcare industry while maintaining compliance of state and national program regulations, and most recently being part of a team that restored a 160 year old house in Noblesville back to its original grandeur. His experience as a detailed strategist in prior supervisory roles, a dedication to historically accurate restoration with an emphasis on period specific interior design, volunteer planning of multiple community events for various nonprofit organizations in his hometown, and extensive marketing skills will prove invaluable for enhancing our programs while engaging with residents, community organizations, and local leaders alike.

In my spare time, you may find me delving into local history, genealogy, and house history at the Crossroads Community Center located in the Hamilton East Public Library in Noblesville. Another hobby of mine is writing poetry and songs, which I find soothes my mind after a long day’s work. Along with my spouse of 22 years and our three dogs, I have resided in Hamilton County, just
outside of the city limits, since 2019. We’re very excited to now be residents of Old Town Noblesville and are deeply moved by the strong sense of community among those who live in this area, as well as how welcoming all of the local residents have been.
